Sailing in the Grenadines – Sample Itinerary
You’ll set sail from St. Vincent, bound for the charming island of Bequia. Here, you’ll have a wealth of quaint shops to explore in the marina, as well as numerous dining spots to sample. The sandy beaches are ideal for relaxing, but aquatic adventure can be found, too. There are several caves that can be explored by divers, or shipwrecks if you’d prefer.
From Bequia, you’ll set sail aboard your chartered yacht for the private island of Mustique. It is home to just 100 villas, favored by visiting celebrities and A-listers. You can explore the secluded beaches, but definitely make time to visit the high-end shops. A trip to Firefly is also recommended, where you can sample one of their many specialty martinis.
Your third day takes you from the privacy of Mustique to the seclusion of the Tobago Cays. Lined with coral reefs, these small islands offer an incredible opportunity to dive and swim with local wildlife, including sea turtles. You can dine on your chartered yacht, or have a beach barbeque if you’d prefer.
After a leisurely breakfast aboard your chartered yacht, weigh anchor and head for Mayreau. This is the smallest inhabited island in the Grenadines, but offers plenty of fun. Visit the Old Wall Village, or explore the waters of Saltwhistle Bay. For dining enjoyment, there’s Dennis’ Hideaway. Make sure to visit the highest spot on the island for an incredible view of the surrounding cays.
You’ll depart Mayreau and set sail for Petit St. Vincent today. It’s a short journey that will take very little time, but you’ll find yourself in a tropical paradise after anchoring off the shore of the island. Marni Hill is an ideal place to take in the view of the surrounding waters, but you can also explore the tropical forest, and dive in the crystalline waters.
Today, you’ll head for Carriacou. The island is not a tourist haven, so you’ll have the white sand beaches mostly to yourself. Explore the beaches or the calm waters, and then opt for dinner aboard your chartered yacht, or on the beach.
You’ll reach Grenada with plenty of time to explore the multicolored homes and historic sites. Take a tour of the Belmont Estate, if you want, or visit the many shops in St. George’s. You can also hike through the Grand Etang Rainforest if you’d prefer.
Wrap up your stay in the Grenadines with more shopping, before heading to the Granada airport and winging your way back home.
